Alexandra Alcantara.
Designer turned GFX operator turned content producer. Now I run Ruby + Citrine, where I spend most of my time helping leaders find the line that lands and the slide that earns it.
I've spent the last decade working inside high-stakes rooms, from early content builds to live show execution. I don't just design decks. I help shape the story, pressure test the message, and make sure it actually works when it matters.
A career built from inside the room.
2006 — 2010
BFA + intern at Sterling Brands
While at SVA finishing her BFA in Graphic Design, Alex sunk her teeth into graphic design and visual identity principles as an intern at Sterling Brands, NYC — and quickly realized design alone wasn't the decision maker.
2010 — 2012
Intro to events
Joined a production company as digital assets manager and got her first taste of live events — helping bring annual National Sales Meetings to life for L'Oréal, Maybelline, and Kiehl's. She was in love.
2010 — 2016
GFX operator in the room
Started freelancing as a graphics operator — running graphics for keynotes and conferences. Learned how content holds up under pressure, and what actually lands with an audience.
2016 — 2020
Content producer + presentation specialist
Worked directly with executives and teams at major brands around the world to shape messaging, structure narratives, and build decks that supported real decisions.
2020 — today
Co-founded Ruby + Citrine
Ready for community roots, Alex built the studio that would give her room to do that — with a team that can step in, think strategically, and execute at a high level without slowing anything down.
Education — BFA, Graphic Design, School of Visual Arts, New York City (2010).
The work usually starts with a deck — but it doesn't end there.
I step in where the message needs clarity, the stakes are high, and everything needs to run the way it should.
Story + structure
We get to the real point quickly. Clarifying the message, shaping the narrative, and making sure every slide is doing its job.
Live environment support
From rehearsal to showtime, making sure everything runs clean. When things shift, we adjust without losing momentum.
Speaker readiness
Working through the content the way it's actually delivered. Tightening language, adjusting flow, and building confidence before it matters.
Operations + project management
Calendars, budgets, freelancers, deadlines — the work behind the scenes that keeps everything moving and protects the creative from falling apart.
Embedded creative partnership
Working alongside your team to move faster, make decisions easier, and keep everything aligned from first draft through final delivery.
Onsite + rehearsal room
In the rehearsal room with presenters, speakers, and executives — running it myself, or alongside a designer I've trained when the show has room for both.

brands along
the way.
Beauty, hospitality, enterprise tech — sales meetings, keynotes, and brand launches where the deck had to land the room.
