Crystal McKenna Green turns presentations into powerful storytelling tools that captivate, persuade, and inspire. As the co-founder of Ruby + Citrine, she helps Fortune 500 brands elevate their messaging, whether on stage, in the boardroom, or across a slide deck.

Before stepping into the world of strategic storytelling and design leadership, Crystal’s journey wound through HR at major banks, editorial work at a Florida publishing company, and a red-pen-wielding stint as a freelance copy editor. A chance request to review PowerPoint slides ignited a passion for presentation design – a discipline that perfectly blended her obsession with clarity and correctness with her creative side. She dove in headfirst, mastering the art and science of visual storytelling, eventually leading a team as Presentation Services Director before launching her own ventures.

At Ruby + Citrine, Crystal does more than craft smart, strategic, high-impact presentations – she cultivates talent. She mentors and leads creative teams, helping designers elevate their work and think more strategically about design’s role in communication. Her leadership style blends creative rigor with thoughtful guidance, making sure that great ideas are executed flawlessly and with purpose.

She’s also a live event whisperer, ensuring visuals enhance the moment without ever upstaging it. Her superpower? Making the complex simple – without ever dumbing it down.

Crystal has lived all along the East Coast, from Connecticut to Florida to her current home base in North Carolina. When she’s not saving audiences from bad slides, she’s hanging out with her husband Steve and their two boys, reading fiction, talking to houseplants, or perfecting slide animations while watching Parks & Rec (again).

Crystal met her business partner, Alex, in 2015. By 2019, they’d officially teamed up to launch Ruby + Citrine – because two heads really are better than one, especially when those heads care deeply about great design, great messaging, and making the business world just a little more bearable (and a lot more beautiful).
